Account Supervisors @ Sterling Communications
Supervisors provide the primary supervisor support for multiple client accounts for all matters that involve strategic input. This includes long-term planning, budget management and accountability, program management and augmentation and effective management of account team members. We are currently looking for experienced account supervisors in our Silicon Valley office. If that’s you, please read on.
Sterling’s new account supervisor will:
- Lead the strategic and creative planning of PR/marketing/communication programs.
- Provide the primary supervisory support for multiple client accounts.
- Create high-impact content, including company and technical backgrounders, bylined articles, white papers, and plan and budget documents.
- Maintain relationships with industry influencers, including media and analyst.
- Do whatever it takes (even those pesky briefing docs) to get measureable results for clients.
- Help us drive new business efforts through networking and the creation of business-catching proposals.
- Manage, mentor and coach fellow Sterlingers.
Account supervisor capabilities include (but aren’t limited to):
- Five to seven years of experience managing communication plans for technology-based clients in an agency environment.
- Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure, security, mobility, telecom, consumer tech and/or cleantech.
- A demonstrated track record of positive results in client satisfaction and leadership.
- Active social media presence on Twitter and LinkedIn among other online networks.
- Experience as a reporter, editor or industry analyst.
- A bachelor’s degree in journalism or related communications field.
- Superb writing skills, creative mindset, sense of humor, and the ability to teach others.

- Rolls up his or her sleeves to get the job done.
